Soccer Player Park JS Sets up Charity Foundation

Soccer player Park Ji-sung has set up his own charity foundation.

Upon its establishment, Park said that he will seek ways to share what he has with society through soccer.

Park will serve as the head of JS Foundation, which will run various soccer-based benefit programs.

As its first event, the foundation will hold a charity soccer match in Vietnam on June 15th. The game will be titled the "Asian Dream Cup" and will feature active and retired soccer stars including Lee Chung-yong of the Bolton Wanderers in England and retired Japanese player Hidetoshi Nakata.

The foundation will also collect donations and provide scholarships to young South Korean soccer players.

The foundation is also sponsored by baseball player Choo Shin-soo, female weightlifter Jang Mi-ran and actor Jeong Jun-ho.
