The South Korean athletes who participated in the Asian Winter Games in Kazakhstan have returned home.

Team Korea, which finished in third place overall at the Games, was welcomed home at Incheon International Airport on Monday.

Team Korea grabbed 38 medals, including a South Korean record 13 gold medals, during the sporting event.
The athletes, upon their return, vowed to yield stronger results at the 2014 Winter Olympics, which will be held in Sochi, Russia.

Speed skater Lee Seung-hoon, who won three gold medals at the games, said he will now focus on preparing for another international competition.

Figure skater Kwak Min-jung and other South Korean athletes said they will now prepare to take part in the 92nd National Winter Sports Festival that begins next week.
