South Korea grabbed its 13th gold medal of the Asian Winter Games in Kazakhstan in women's speed skating on Sunday, the last day of the sporting event, to finish third overall.

The skating team --- made up of Noh Seon-yeong, Lee Ju-youn and Park Do-young --- finished with an Asian record in the women's team pursuit.

The men's team of Lee Kyou-hyuk, Mo Tae-bum and Lee Seung-hoon finished second behind Japan in the team pursuit. If they had won, Lee would have won four gold medals in this year’s Games.

South Korea ended up in third place overall behind Kazakhstan and Japan with 13 gold, 12 silver and 13 bronze medals.

The Seventh Asian Winter Games were held in the two Kazakh cities of Astana and Almaty.
