South Korean substitute Yoon Bit-garam grabbed an extra-time winner, edging Iran 1-0 to advance to the semifinals at the ongoing Asian Cup in Doha, Qatar.

At Qatar Sports Club Stadium early Sunday, midfielder Yoon struck in a curler at the end of the first 15-minute extra period to break the scoreless deadlock.

With the win, the Taegeuk Warriors will now face its East Asian archrivals Japan in the semifinals at the Al Gharafa Stadium on January 25th, 10:25 p.m. Korean time.

Australia and Uzbekistan will meet in the other semifinal also on Tuesday.
