Skater Kim Named USSA's Female Athlete of the Yr

Figure skating queen Kim Yu-Na has been named the U.S. Sports Academy's 2010 Female Athlete of the Year.

In a worldwide public ballot administered by the academy, Kim beat out eleven other candidates, including tennis stars Kim Clijsters and Serena Williams, by a wide margin.

Spanish striker David Villa was named the Male Athlete of the Year. Villa scored five goals while helping Spain to its first FIFA World Cup title in South Africa.

Kim Yu-na was also named one of the ten most valuable players of 2010 by reporters at the Chicago Tribune.
