Asiad organizer proposes to hold working-level talks with N. Korea

The Busan Asian Games Organizing Committee (BAGOC) on Friday proposed to hold a working-level meeting between South and North Korea from Aug. 26-28 in Busan. BAGOC Chairman Chung Soon-taek sent a telephone message to Pak Myong-chol, president of the North Korean Olympic Committee, in the morning, inviting ting the two sides to hold a working-level contact to discuss details regarding the North's participation in the Busan Asiad. A BAGOC official said on the agenda will be the lighting of the Busan Asiad torch, the joint entrance of teams from the two Koreas at the opening and closing ceremonies, the use of a flag depicting the Korean Peninsula to represent the two countries and the transportation route of the North Korean delegation.
