PM Leaves for Zurich to Support 2022 World Cup Bid

Prime Minister Kim Hwang-sik left the nation on Tuesday for Zurich, Switzerland, to drum up support for South Korea’s bid to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Kim will make a presentation on Wednesday, local time, during South Korea’s pitch for the sporting event.

Accompanying Kim will be FIFA Vice President Chung Mong-joon, former Prime Minister Lee Hong-gu, Chairman of the Bidding Committee for the World Cup Han Sung-joo, and soccer star Park Ji-sung.

Kim will emphasize at the meeting that Seoul would spare no support if South Korea is selected to host the 2022 World Cup.
