S.Korea Adds 3 Gold in Weiqi, Handball at Asiad

South Korea added two more gold medals in weiqi (baduk) at the Ghangzhou Asian Games on Friday, just one day before the closing ceremony. The men's and women's teams both defeated China and won gold in the final.

The men's handball team also beat Iran 32 to 28 to take the gold medal.

Park Jae-myoung took the silver in men's javelin with a distance of 79.92 meters.

In rhythmic gymnastics, Son Yeon-jae won the bronze in the individual all-around, which is a first for the country. Women's handball finished third place beating Kazakhstan 38 to 26.

Kim Do-won won the bronze in men's 75 kilogram karate while wrestler Park Sang-eun also took the bronze in the women's freestyle 63 kilogram division.

Men's basketball lost to China 77 to 71 and won the silver medal.

South Korea ranks second in the Games with 75 gold medals.
