South Korea has added bronze medals in gymnastics, handball and karate at the Ghangzhou Asian Games on Friday, just one day before the closing ceremony.

Son Yeon-jae scored 108.45 points in the individual all-around rhythmic gymnastics final, winning a bronze for the nation for the first time in the event at the Asiad.

In handball, the women's team also won a bronze, beating Kazakhstan 38-26. Kim Do-won added a bronze in the men's 75-kilogram event in karate.

The men's basketball team is vying to win its first title in eight years when it goes head-to-head with China. The men's handball team, meanwhile, will face Iran in the final.

Kim Deok-hyeon, who already won a gold medal in the men's long jump, is seeking another gold in the triple jump.

Park Jae-myoung and Jung Sang-jin will take part in the final in men's javelin.

South Korea currently ranks second in the Games with 72 gold medals.
