S.Korean Men's Basketball Team Reaches Asian Games Final

South Korea is one step closer to garnering a gold medal in men's basketball at the ongoing Asian Games in Guangzhou, China.

On the 14th day of the Games on Thursday, the South Korean basketball team, which is hoping to bring home the Asian Games gold for the first time in eight years, defeated Japan 55-51.

South Korea will face the winner of the game between China and Iran in the gold-medal game.

The women's basketball team is also seeking gold, with the final against China set for 10:30 p.m. on Thursday.

The Korean women's handball team, meanwhile, failed to defend its Asian Games title, losing to Japan 29-28.

The women's volleyball team will face off against Kazakhstan in the semifinals.

South Korea currently ranks second in the Games with 71 gold medals.
