S.Korea's Yeo Named AFC Women’s Youth Player of 2010

South Korean teenage female soccer player Yeo Min-ji has been named the Women's Youth Player of the Year by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

Yeo won the honor at a ceremony held in Kuala Lumpur, beating out compatriot Ji So-yeon and Japan’s Kumi Yokohama for the award.

The 17-year-old Yeo was the leading scorer in the 2010 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup with eight goals.

Sasa Ognenovksi of the Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma received the AFC Player of the Year Award. The Coach of the Year Award went to Takeshi Okada of the Japanese national soccer team.
