S.Korea Adds 2 Silvers in Rowing; Jang Mi-ran on Deck

South Korea added two silver medals in rowing at the Guangzhou Asian Games on Friday, the eighth day of the sporting event.

Shin Yeong-eun won the silver in women's single sculls, and Ji Yu-jin won the silver in lightweight women’s single sculls.

The men’s and women’s doubles teams have both advanced to the billiard finals, securing at least silver-medal finishes.

Weightlifter Jang Mi-ran will face China's Meng Suping and four others in the women's over-75-kilogram event Friday evening.

The baseball team will face Taiwan in hopes of earning its first title in baseball at the Asian Games in eight years.

South Korea currently sits in second place behind China with 37 gold, 32 silver and 44 bronze medals.
