S.Korea Rises to 2nd in Asian Games Medal Tally

South Korea garnered nine gold, seven silver and four bronze medals at the Guangzhou Asian Games on Sunday.

In doing so, South Korea jumped to second in the total medal tally with 13 gold, ten silver and 12 bronze.

On Day four of the games Monday, South Korean judoka Wang Ki-chun will seek a gold in the 73-kilogram division.

Swimmer Park Tae-hwan, who set an Asian record in the 200-meter freestyle Sunday evening, is aiming for his second gold of this year’s games in the men's 800-meter freestyle relay on Monday.

Men’s and women’s team rifle-shooting events and a badminton team final are also scheduled to take place Monday.
