South Korean shooter Lee Dae-myung garnered three gold medals at the Asian Games in Guangzhou.
In the final of men’s individual ten-meter air pistol on Sunday, Lee Dae-myung fired 685.8 points to win gold medal, beating China's Tan Zongliang, who scored 684.5 points.
Lee Dae-myung, and his two other teammates, Jin Jong-oh and Lee Sang-do, also won another gold earlier in the day, in the men’s group ten-meter air pistol. The group scored 1746 points, collectively, defeating China and North Korea.
With that, Lee Dae-myung secured three golds total, while Jin Jong-oh and Lee Sang-do each secured two.
The women's ten-meter air pistol team also secured a gold medal, beating India and China.
In the mean time, Swimmer Park Tae-hwan finished third in the preliminary of the men’s 200-meter freestyle to advance to the final scheduled for Sunday evening.
South Korea’s baseball team also began its quest for gold on a winning note by defeating Taiwan 6-1 Saturday.
