South Korean Soccer Team Trumps Jordan at Asian Games

The South Korean soccer team bounced back from its one-to-nothing loss to North Korea in its first match of the Guangzhou Asian Games on Monday to trounce Jordan four nil on Wednesday.

Gu Ja-cheol was the star of the game, scoring two goals in the 21st and 42nd minutes of the first half.

Then Kim Bo-gyeong and Jo Yeong-cheol scored one goal each in the second half to cement Korea’s lead. This win puts the South Korean team in a favorable position to advance to the second round of 16.

South Korea will meet Palestine on Thursday afternoon for its last match in the group stage.
