S.Korean Antarctic Base Registered on Global Atmosphere Watch

South Korea’s scientific research base at the Antarctic has been registered a member of the World Meteorological Organization’s (WMO) Global Atmosphere Watch.

The Korea Meteorological Administration says that the ultraviolet ray, ozone, and carbon monoxide density data measured by the King Sejong Station will be registered accordingly at the WMO resources center and be used in researching global climate change.

In addition to the Antarctic base, two other South Korean facilities are registered as part of the Global Atmosphere Watch program.
