Seoul will offer North Korean Asian Games delegation financial aid.

An official of the Ministry of Planning and Budget said Tuesday the government will offer financial assistance to the North Korean delegation taking part in the Busan Asiad in September. The official said we are pursuing providing financial aid to the North Korean sports delegation to cover expenses for the Busan Asian Games. He said the move aims to activate inter-Korean exchanges from a humanitarian viewpoint. The government would use approximately $200,000 dollars from the South-North Exchange and Cooperation Fund to cover the room and board for about 200 North Korean athletes and staff members for 16 days during the competition.
