Goodall Attends Biodiversity Event in Pocheon

World-renowned British primatologist Jane Goodall attended an event Wednesday marking the Year of Biodiversity in Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province.

While at the event held at the Korea National Arboretum, Goodall, together with 100 members of her environmental group, collected plants and insects and listened to expert briefings on various species.

Goodall came to Korea to promote the Korean translation of her latest book, “Hope for Animals and Their World.”

The 76-year-old Goodall is best known for her 45-year study of the interactions among chimpanzees.
