S.Korea's Yeo Grabs 3 Awards at U-17 World Cup

South Korean striker Yeo Min-ji has added two major awards to the nation’s first-place trophy at the Under-17 Women's World Cup.

The 17-year-old, who scored eight goals during the tournament, won the Golden Ball and Golden Boot awards.

Although nearly failing to play in the tournament due to an injured knee, Yeo has now come under the global spotlight.

After winning the awards, Yeo said she hopes that South Korean soccer can become a force not just in Asia but in the world at a senior level.
