S. Korea to Compete at U-17 Women's World Cup Finals

South Korea will seek to win its first Under-17 Women's World Cup.

The team, led by coach Choi Deok-ju, will play against Japan at the finals in Trinidad and Tobago on Sunday.

Yeo Min-ji, who scored eight goals in six games, will aim to lead the team to victory. Yeo is also seeking to win the Golden Ball Award, which is given to the best player of the tournament and the Golden Shoe prize, which is granted to the tournament's top scorer.

South Korea has advanced to the semifinals four times in FIFA tournaments, but this is the first time the nation has reached the final round.
