S.Korea Advances to Final at U-17 Women's World Cup

South Korea advanced to the finals of the Under-17 Women's World Cup after beating Spain 2-to-1 on Wednesday Korea time.

Korea has advanced to the semifinals four times in FIFA tournaments, but this is the first time the nation has reached the final round.

In the semifinals held in Trinidad and Tobago, the team, led by coach Choi Deok-ju, scored a come-from-behind victory.

Yeo Min-ji, who scored an equalizer on Wednesday, is the tournament's top scorer with eight goals and three assists in five matches.

South Korea will play Japan in the final on Sunday. Japan won its semifinal match against North Korea 2-to-1.
