Olympic figure skating gold medalist Kim Yu-na has parted ways with her coach Brian Orser and has been training alone since June.

Kim’s agency All That Sports said Kim and Orser’s relations were strained ever since Orser was asked to coach Kim’s rival Mao Asada in April.

Orser’s agency IMG New York has contended through its agent David Baden that All That Sports’ chief and Kim’s mother has told Orser that Kim will be leaving him with no prior notice nor consultation.

Despite her coaching setback, Kim is currently preparing for the upcoming season in Toronto.
