Endangered Insect Species Found in N.Jeolla Province

An endangered insect species has been found in Byeonsanbando National Park in North Jeolla Province.

The Korea National Park Service said that more than 20 two-striped green buprestids were found near Naeso Temple in the national park, which is the northernmost habitat of the beetle.

Designated as a natural treasure of the nation, two-striped green buprestids have been used for crafts and jewelry since the ancient Silla Kingdom because of their beautiful wings.
