S.Korea Ranks 11th in Int'l Physics Olympiad

South Korea has finished in eleventh place at the 41st International Physics Olympiad held in Zagreb, Croatia.

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology said Monday that the nation finished with one gold, two silver and two bronze medals in the olympiad held from July 17th to the 25th to rank eleventh among the 80 participating countries.

The olympiad is an annual physics competition for high school students. South Korea has finished in the upper ranks since it first participated in the competition in 1992. The nation ranked second last year.
