S.Korea Advances to U-20 Women's World Cup Semis

South Korea has beat Mexico to advance to the semifinals for the first time ever at the FIFA Under-20 Women's World Cup.

Team Korea, led by coach Choi In-cheol, battled Mexico early Monday morning, Korean time, in Germany and won by a score of 3-1 on two goals from Lee Hyeon-yeong and another from Ji So-yeon.

Ji currently ranks second in goals at the tournament, one behind leader Alexandra Popp of Germany.

Team Korea will face Germany on Thursday for a ticket to the final match.
