Gyeongnam FC coach Cho Kwang-rae will become the next coach of the national soccer team.

The Korea Football Association’s technical committee reportedly came to the decision on Tuesday.

Cho, expected to be officially appointed to his new post on Wednesday, said he will exert his best efforts to make the team a squad that makes Korea proud.

Cho has been widely recognized for his leadership. He led the Anyang LG Cheetahs, now known as FC Seoul, to the K-League title in 2000.
