The under-20 women's soccer team has advanced to the quarterfinals of the FIFA U-20 World Cup for the first time.

Korea rallied to beat Ghana, 4-2, in Dresden, Germany, thanks to two goals from Ji So-yun. Ji had posted a hat trick in her team's 4-0 win over Switzerland Wednesday and is the tournament leader in goals with five.

The biennial tournament began in 2002.

Korea will play the U.S. in their final Group D game Wednesday in Bielefeld.
