Team Korea Trains in Durban

The national soccer team has conducted its first training in Durban, South Africa where it will hold its final group B match against Nigeria in the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Team Korea carried out the training Monday shortly after warm-ups.

Because the match will take place at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, local time, the Korean team conducted an evening training for the first time since arriving in South Africa.

Meanwhile, the Korea Football Association requested FIFA to come up with measures to secure the safety of the Korean players, as a large contingent of Nigerian spectators are expected to attend Tuesday's game. Durban is home to a large community of Nigerian immigrants.
