Joint Probe into Failed Rocket Launch to be Organized

Russia’s Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center, which developed the first-stage booster of the Naro, plans to organize a special probe team with South Korea to identify the cause of the rocket's mid-air explosion.

In a news release, Khrunichev said the ground control center unexpectedly lost communication links with the rocket 135 seconds after its launch.

The Russian space center added that it manufactured the Naro rocket's first stage, while South Korea constructed its second stage and onboard equipment. Therefore, it said it would form a joint probe team.
