Minister of Education, Science and Technology Ahn Byong-man has vowed to make a third attempt to successfully launch the nation’s first space rocket.

In a briefing held shortly after the Naro space rocket's failed launch on Friday, Ahn said the nation will continue to develop its rocket program and pursue future launches.

Under a launch contract between South Korea and Russia, Russia must take part in an additional launch attempt if a problem with the first-stage booster, which Russia developed, is found to have caused the failure.
