The nation's Naro-1 space rocket will be launched Wednesday as scheduled following the successful completion of the final launch rehearsal Tuesday.

Min Kyung-ju, director for the Naro Space Center in Goheung, on Tuesday told a news briefing that during the final rehearsal, scientists checked electrical instruments and all other parts of the rocket and confirmed their operational status.

Min said the exact launch time will be announced at around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday based on the results of the final rehearsal and weather conditions.

If no problems arise, the rocket will be launched in accordance with the 15-minute automatic countdown sequence.
