The nation’s Naro-1 space rocket will be launched on schedule Wednesday.

The Ministry of Science and Technology held a meeting of the Naro management committee Tuesday morning and decided to proceed with the launch as planned.

The rocket was placed on the launch pad on Monday night and a final rehearsal started at 11 a.m. on Tuesday.

If the rehearsal runs smoothly, the committee will reconvene Wednesday morning and announce around 1:30 p.m. a final decision on the launch time.

It took five hours longer than expected Monday to erect the Naro on the launch pad.
