Rehearsal for Naro Launch Scheduled for Tuesday

A final rehearsal will be conducted on the nation’s Naro-1 space rocket, one day before the launch.

The Korea Aerospace Research Institute said Monday that it will conduct six hours of final tests on the rocket starting at 11 a.m. on Tuesday.

The final tests will confirm whether the electrical instruments of the rocket and at mission control are in sync. Results of the tests are expected to come out around 5:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, a meeting chaired by Education, Science and Technology Vice Minister Kim Joong-hyun will determine the exact launch time in the afternoon based on weather conditions and other factors.

The space rocket was placed on the launch pad Monday afternoon.
