Soccer Squad Begins Practice in S. Africa

The national soccer team has arrived in South Africa for the World Cup and has begun adapting to the conditions there.

At training camp in Rustenberg near Johannesburg, the team held its first practice with all 23 players on the final roster Saturday.

Coach Huh Jung-moo says team captain Park Ji-sung and top striker Park Chu-young have recovered well from injuries and will have no trouble playing in the first match against Greece on Saturday.

The Taegeuk Warriors will do conditioning and strategic training to get their skills and stamina up.
