Gov't to Pick 250 People to View Naro Launch

The government will allow a total of 250 people to watch in person from a nearby maritime location the nation's second attempt to launch its first space rocket.

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology said Monday that those selected from an online event will watch the scene on June ninth aboard a Korea Coast Guard patrol vessel and the nation's first icebreaker, the "Araon."

Select local residents, children and leaders in the nation’s science community will also be in attendance.

The ministry said the event could be delayed or changed if the launch is postponed due to inclement weather or other problems.
