Belarus Hands Soccer Team 1st Loss Since Feb.

The national soccer team has met defeat for the first time since February in a 1-0 loss Sunday to Belarus in Kufstein, Austria.

Midfielder Syarhey Kislyak scored with a shot made at the top of the penalty box for the game's only goal in the 52nd minute. The score was also the first against Korea since the team beat Japan, 3-1, in the East Asian Football Federation championship in February.

Korea's last defeat also came in the same tournament in a 3-0 loss to China.

The Belarus loss was also the final exhibition game for Korea before coach Huh Jung-moo announces the final 23-man World Cup roster Tuesday. That means three players will be cut from the team.

Korea will play its last exhibition game before the World Cup Thursday against European champion Spain in Innsbruck, Austria.
