S.Korean Soccer Team Begins High-Altitude Training

South Korea’s World Cup soccer squad has begun preparing to adapt to high-altitudes at a training camp in Austria.

Led by Coach Huh Jung-moo, the team held brief physical conditioning tests to adapt to high altitudes in Neustift im Stubaital, some one-thousand-40 meters above sea level, near the Alps.

The training is meant to prepare South Korea for its second World Cup match against Argentina, which will be held 17-hundred meters above sea level.

The South Korean soccer team will hold friendlies with Belarus on May 30th and with Spain on June fourth before heading to Rustenberg, South Africa.
