Korea to Play Japan in Exhibition Game Mon.

The national soccer team will travel to Japan to play an exhibition game Monday evening in Saitama.

The game is the first of three exhibition games Korea will play before the World Cup in South Africa.

Korea and Japan have played each other 71 times, with Korea leading the series with 39 wins.

Korea coach Huh Jung-moo will likely play his starters, including goalie Lee Woon-jae, team captain Park Ji-sung and strikers Lee Chung-yong and Ki Sung-yueng.

Yonhap News says Huh will probably use a 4-4-2 formation, placing Lee Keun-ho and Yeom Ki-hun as strikers, and later experiment with a 4-2-3-1 formation after inserting injured forward Park Chu-young in the second half.

Korea will then travel to Austria for training camp and play Belarus May 30th and Spain June 3rd.

Coach Huh must also cut three players to trim his roster to the 23-man limit by June 1st.
