The 2010 Colorful Daegu Pre-Championships Meeting will open Wednesday with 150 athletes from 33 countries set to compete in a variety of events.

Many world champion athletes will be competing in the track and field meet, including the world’s fastest man Usain Bolt, female sprinter Carmelita Jeter and hurdler David Payne.

The Daegu Pre-Championships is tantamount to a rehearsal for the 2011 IAAF World Championships in Athletics, which will be held in the city in August next year.
