Korean Team Finds 500 New Cancer Genes

Korean researchers have discovered some 500 new genes that regulate the cell cycles of cancer.

The Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology says its discovery of the genes, made through the study of yeast, will help progress efforts in the development of a cancer treatment.

The study was published in the Monday issue of Nature Biotechnology's online edition.
