Hiddink Leaves Korea after 6-Day Visit

Former national soccer coach Guus Hiddink has left Korea after a six-day visit, saying he is confident Korea can advance to the second round of the World Cup in South Africa.

He said Friday at the Hyatt Hotel in Seoul, where current Korea coach Huh Jung-moo announced his preliminary 30-man roster, that if the team beats Greece in its opening group game, it can make the knockout stage.

The Taegeuk Warriors will face Greece June 12th, and then play Nigeria and Argentina.

Hiddink says Korea is in a tough group but can get good results if veterans combine well with younger players.
