S.Korea's Preliminary Roster for 2010 World Cup Announced

South Korea’s preliminary roster for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa has been announced.

Coach Heo Jeong-mu announced Friday the 30-man roster that includes European league players Park Ji-seong, Park Ju-yeong and Lee Cheong-yong.

The players include veterans as well as up-and-coming players who took part in the FIFA U-20 World Cup, which was for players under the age of 20.

The nation’s goal keepers will be led by Lee Un-jae, same as in 2006.

The team will hold a friendly with Ecuador in May. The 23-man roster will then be finalized for submission to the International Football Federation (FIFA) by the end of May.
