The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) has been recognized by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) for the quality of the weather agency’s wind resources map.

KMA received the ISO 9001 certification standard Friday, demonstrating that its wind resources map is in line with international standards.

The wind resources map, which shows the time and location of wind energy resources, was developed in 2009. It has been available for viewing on the KMA Web site since January.
