World Cup Trophy to Come to Korea

The FIFA World Cup soccer tournament trophy will be on display in Korea in April.

The World Cup games’ official sponsor, Coca Cola, said on Wednesday that the trophy will be in Korea for three days starting April 19th.

The trophy, which will be presented to the winner of the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa, will be revealed to the Korean media on April 19th, after which Coca Cola will host a separate event on April 21st for the general public.

The trophy will have made stops in 86 countries during its seven-month tour around the world that began last September. It is intended to raise enthusiasm for the World Cup games as a global event.
