Korea has won the silver medal in wheelchair curling at the Vancouver Winter Paralympics.

In the final Saturday, the Korean team trailed Canada 8-1 after the fourth end but rallied to come within 8-6 in the eighth and final end. Canada held on to win the gold, however.

The medal is the second won by Korea at the Winter Paralympics and the country's first in a group event. Korea won its first medal in the event -- a silver -- in alpine skiing at the 2002 Salt Lake Games.
