S.Korean Aims to Set Mountain-Climbing Record

South Korean climber Oh Eun-sun has set out for Nepal to ascend Annapurna in the Himalayas, which is the tenth highest peak in the world.

Oh says she will attempt to climb the 8,091-meter peak late next month after a one-month training period to adapt to the climate of the region.

If she succeeds at scaling Annapurna, Oh will become the first woman to conquer the world's 14 highest peaks.

She had planned to tackle Annapurna last year, but was forced to delay the climb due to adverse weather.
