Gene Structure of Korean Beef Mapped

The genome structure of Korean “hanu” beef has been mapped out by a joint domestic research team.

The Rural Development Administration says it successfully deciphered the genome map of hanu together with Gachon University of Medicine and Science and a bioresearch institute.

The results show the hanu genome is two-point-six billion base pairs long compared to the human genome's three billion base pairs.
