S.Korea Squanders Gold in 3000m Short Track Relay

South Korea came close to securing its sixth medal of the Vancouver Winter Olympics on Thursday, Korea time, during the women's 3,000-meter short track relay skating competition but was disqualified for impeding the Chinese team.

Korea's team --- comprised of Cho Ha-ri, Kim Min-jung, Lee Eun-byul and Park Seung-hi --- managed to finish with what would have been a world record time before they were disqualified, leaving China with the gold and the world record. Canada was given the silver and the U.S. the bronze.

Overall, Korea is now in sole possession of sixth place in terms of golds with five.
