Mo Tae-bum Finishes 5th in 1,500 Meters

Speed skater Mo Tae-bum has failed to pick up his third medal of the Vancouver Olympic Games.

He finished fifth in the men’s 1,500 meters at Richmond Olympic Oval Saturday with a time of one minute 46.47 seconds.

Mo led the pack before the 16th pairing of the event came in. He had won the gold in the 500 meters and the silver in the 1,000 meters.

Mark Tuitert of the Netherlands won the gold medal in the 1,500 meters. Shani Davis of the U.S. the silver, and Havard Bokko of Norway the bronze.

Among other Korean speed skaters, Lee Jong-woo came in 22nd and Ha Hong-sun 31st in the 1,500 meters.
