Swimmer Park Wins Men's 400m, 100m Freestyle Events in Sidney

Star swimmer Park Tae-hwan has won the men’s 400- and 100 meter-freestyle events at the New South Wales State Open Championships under way in Sydney, Australia.

Park took the top spot at the men's 400-meter freestyle event Friday after clocking in at three minutes 45 seconds.

Park then won the men’s 100 meter-freestyle event with a time of 49-point-45 seconds.

The New South Wales State Open Championships is the 21-year-old’s first official match in six months since his poor performance at the Rome championships last summer.
